Shasta Historical Society
Since 1930 we have collected, preserved and shared the history of Shasta County — through our museums, research library, community events and publications. Much of that history is now searchable online.
About
Who we are
Formed on 18 January 1930
The Society began with a single purpose: to record interviews with the area pioneers who were then still living. Over the years the mission grew into actively promoting and communicating the history of Shasta County, from a base in the heart of historic Redding.
